About Costa Rica The women of Costa Rica (called Ticas) are just one of the many great things about this special paradise. Only the land itself rivals their beauty. Ecological enthusiasts and nature lovers have 58 National parks and reserves to visit and explore. You can hike, bird watch, tour the jungle canopy and enjoy nature at its best. Costa Rica borders both the Atlantic and Pacific oceans so you have a number of wonderful beaches to enjoy world-class surfing, snorkeling, diving, deep-sea fishing and just relaxing in the sun and surf. The volcanoes are another wonder of this country that you should not pass up. Most are dormant, but a few, like Arenal Volcano, still provide nightly shows of fiery activity. You could spend days at this site alone, as there are a variety of places to visit around Arenal. The hot springs of Tabacon (heated by the volcano), the Caverns of Venado, the Arenal Botanical Garden, and the Fortuna Waterfall are all spectacular venues to spend time with your new found sweetheart. Flights to the San Jose Airport (SJO) arrive daily from Los Angeles, Houston, Miami, New York and other cities. A passport is not needed for U.S. residents to enter Costa Rica - just your driver's license and birth certificate. Cost of living is very inexpensive compared to the U.S. and the technical infrastructure is surprisingly advanced. Internet Cafes are on practically every corner (even in McDonalds and Pizza Hut) and unlimited dial-up access is only $15 per month. Cell phone coverage is countrywide, however, a different type of cell phone band is used here. It is not necessary to permanently move here if you fall in love with a Tica. A legal marriage will allow her to become a citizen of your country (U.S., Canada, and most others) and you will be granted Costa Rican citizenship as well. If you would like to explore the idea of becoming a citizen through marriage, relocating your belongings, or information on reputable banking institutions, please contact us!
